Software network-use summary
This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it.
In Doriax, a transfer is requested when a user configures and uses an AI provider, searches for or downloads an online asset, or supplies another network address for the software to contact.
1. Scope and project operator
This policy applies to www.doriax.org and the Doriax Engine software distributed by the Doriax Engine open-source project. The project is maintained by Eduardo Doria.
Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices. Their policies are linked below where they affect Doriax users.
2. Website data
Hosting
The website is hosted with GitHub Pages. When your browser requests a page, GitHub may process technical request information such as your IP address, device and browser information, request date and time, referring page, and pages viewed. See the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
Google Analytics
The website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and improve the site. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and collect a random browser identifier, device and browser information, referring page, pages visited, interactions, and an approximate region derived from the network connection. Doriax does not send names, email addresses, project files, or AI conversations to Google Analytics.
Google processes analytics information for Doriax. Retention is governed by the settings of the Doriax Analytics property and Google's terms. See Google Analytics data safeguards and the Google Privacy Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Fonts and video
The home page requests fonts from Google Fonts and a video thumbnail from YouTube, so your browser connects to Google services and sends ordinary network request information. The YouTube privacy-enhanced player at youtube-nocookie.com is loaded only after you choose to play the video. Google's handling of this information is described in its Privacy Policy.
Links and payments
The website links to services such as GitHub, Discord, X, YouTube, Patreon, and GitHub Sponsors. Doriax does not operate those services or directly receive payment-card details. Information you provide after following a link is handled under that service's policy.
The website does not provide a Doriax user account or contact form and does not directly collect names, postal addresses, or payment information.
3. Doriax Engine software
Local operation
Doriax has no built-in Doriax-operated telemetry, advertising, crash-reporting service, user account, or cloud storage. Projects, editor settings, and AI conversation history are stored locally on your computer. Doriax maintainers do not receive these files merely because you use the software.
Optional AI providers
The AI assistant is optional. When you add an API credential and use an AI provider, Doriax sends information needed to perform your request directly to the provider or endpoint you selected. Depending on your request, this can include prompts, relevant conversation history, selected files or images, project context, tool or action results, model-selection requests, and ordinary network information such as your IP address.
API credentials are stored locally in an obfuscated, machine-bound settings file and are sent to the configured provider for authentication. Obfuscation is not encryption. Do not use a credential that grants more access than necessary, and do not submit secrets or personal information that the provider should not process.
Doriax maintainers do not receive or store requests sent directly between your installation and the selected provider. The provider determines how it processes and retains those requests:
- OpenAI Privacy Policy
- Anthropic Privacy Policy
- Google Privacy Policy (Gemini)
- DeepSeek Privacy Policy
- OpenRouter Privacy Policy
If you configure an OpenAI-compatible or custom endpoint, review the policy of that endpoint's operator before using it.
Optional online assets
When you choose to search for or download online assets, Doriax contacts the selected asset provider or URL. The request can include search text, asset identifiers, requested file information, and ordinary network information. Review the Poly Haven Privacy Policy and the Sketchfab Privacy Policy.
Your controls
You can use the core editor without configuring an AI provider or using online asset features. You can stop future AI requests by removing the provider credentials from Doriax. You can delete local conversations, settings, and project files using Doriax controls or your operating system. Uninstalling the application may not remove files kept in your user or project directories.
4. Retention and your choices
Locally stored Doriax data remains on your computer until you delete it. Information processed by hosting, analytics, AI, and asset providers is retained according to each provider's policy and your account or service settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restrictions on personal information controlled by the Doriax project. Because website data is generally pseudonymous or aggregated, Doriax may not be able to connect Analytics data to a particular person without an applicable identifier.
5. Security and international processing
Doriax uses reasonable technical measures for the information it controls, but no storage or network transmission is completely secure. Third-party providers may process information in countries other than your own under their respective policies.
6. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when Doriax features or service providers change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
